YOUR BROWSER & CLADTS
Cookies & map services
Published 17 September 2026 · Covers cladts.com and app.cladts.com
Essential session cookie
The app uses a cookie named cladts_session for your session, sign-in and request security, including when you visit as a guest. It is set for the browser session. Some browsers restore session cookies when reopening tabs. The app also checks for inactivity exceeding two hours on subsequent requests.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser. Blocking this cookie prevents sign-in and may stop forms or other app features working. Sign out on shared devices. Ordinary browser caching of page files is separate from account storage.
No added advertising or analytics trackers
The current website and app do not include advertising pixels or analytics scripts. The marketing video is hosted with the website rather than embedded from a social or video platform. Hosting systems may still keep technical access and error logs, including IP addresses and requested pages, for service operation and security.
Maps contact OpenStreetMap services
When an app map loads, your browser requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap’s servers. This reveals your IP address and technical request information, and the requested tiles indicate the map area being viewed. Uploaded documents are not sent to this tile service by CLADTS. Tile delivery can use servers in different countries. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
Optional device location and address lookup
“My location” asks your browser for permission to locate your device and centre the map. You can refuse permission or revoke it in browser settings and enter parcel coordinates manually. Centring the map can cause map-tile requests for that area. Coordinates you choose as part of a submitted parcel are stored with the record.
If the app’s “Find address” service is configured and you use it, the selected parcel coordinate is sent to an address-lookup provider through the server. Enter the address yourself if you do not want to use this feature. An unavailable lookup does not prevent manual entry.
Changes and questions
This notice should be updated before introducing materially different tracking or providers. Where consent is legally required, it must be obtained before those optional technologies operate. Contact info@cladts.com about these technologies or your information.
